We are a small, lean organization that serves over 500 students every year through the dedication of two full-time staff members and an all-volunteer teacher core. We are sustained by the support of our community through gifts of time, talent, and treasure.
Support Literacy With Your Time
It takes time to help aspiring adults achieve their goals. Even one hour of your time a week can help one of our students build a better, happier life. We provide ongoing training and resources to help you become an effective tutor. If you would like to give the gift of your time, contact us!
Some of you love to teach. Some of you know about curriculum and program assessment. Some of you throw a mean event. Some of you are artists, musicians, photographers, web and graphic designers, and video editors. We need all of those things. Our community's talent can help us forward our mission. If you would like to give the gift of your talent, contact us!
We run a lean, mean organization, but it still costs money to help folks lift themselves up. The Marion County Literacy Council, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3. All donations are tax-deductible and help us fuel our work in the community.
